Privacy Policy

This policy explains how DAR-US Inc. (“DAR-US”, “we”) handles the information you give us through the driver employment application at apply.drive4darus.com, and by email or text message about that application.

1. What we collect

• Identity and contact details — name, date of birth, Social Security number, address history, phone and email.
• Driving qualifications — driver's licence details and photos, medical certificate, driving experience, accidents and violations.
• Work and education history, and the signed authorizations and acknowledgments in the application.
• Technical records of your signatures — the time and the internet address they were made from — kept as proof of your electronic signature.
• Your text-message choice, if you opt in: when, from where, and the exact wording you agreed to.

2. How we use it

• To review your application and decide whether to hire you;
• To carry out the background, driving-record and previous-employer checks you authorize, as required of motor carriers by federal law (49 CFR Parts 40 and 391);
• To contact you about your application by email, and by text message if you opted in;
• To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

3. Text messages

If you tick the text-updates box, we may text you about your application. Consent is not a condition of employment. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Full details are in our Messaging Terms.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• with the previous employers, agencies and screening services you authorize us to contact for the checks above;
• with service providers that run this application for us (hosting, secure file storage, email and text-message delivery), solely to provide that service;
• when required by law or to protect our rights, safety or property.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the providers that deliver the messages.

5. How long we keep it

If you are hired, your application becomes part of your driver qualification file and is kept as federal law requires. If you are not hired, we keep your application for two years after the decision and then delete it permanently — longer only if the law requires us to preserve it. An application you started but never submitted is deleted after it expires.

6. Security

Sensitive details such as your Social Security number are encrypted, and your documents are stored privately and shown only to authorized DAR-US office staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Your choices

• Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts.
• Contact us to ask for a copy of your application or to correct it. Some records must be kept for the periods above even if you ask us to delete them.

8. Children

This application is for adult drivers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows when it last changed.
